Aaaaaaaaaaaand now I’m just doodling. Restyled Rainbow Dash woo

I picked her mostly because it was easiest to transfer her mane into this style. Who knows, I might do the rest of the Mane 6. I might even take requests. Background ponies and fanponies too, why not.

If I had come across Evanescene’s Lithium sooner, my life would have been made a tad easier. But hey, discovering it not too long ago slapped me in the inspiration. In particular, I illustrated the line, “I wanna stay in love with my sorrow”. And this is the result.

Also, no, that’s not a Minecraft Enderman character. It’s one of the creatures (although inspired by the Endermen) that inhabit the world inside my mind, alongside the Inklings I posted kind of a while ago. Said world is still currently in development, but this piece in particular made me think, “Maybe these creatures could be named after abstract things, like, this one could be named Sorrow, taking the lyric kind of literally.” I’m entertaining the idea. I do like it. And, I never meant to set genders on these critters in the first place, so it does make some sense.

Anyway I think I’m just rambling now.

There’s me and adjusting a well-known quote to reflect my unrequited love for my X-acto knife…

And then there’s Gwen, who re-formats aforementioned quote to the point where it’s almost unrecognizable as a sort of spin-off.

I feel like I don’t pay enough attention to her :c She’s my first real character ever, even though she’s gone through a few redesigns I just can’t let her go. She writes herself, really. Gwen is the cool person I’d like to but never will be. She is awesome for me, ya dig? Like, in my place, I suppose.

Except she doesn’t actually exist outside my mind, and I do…but that’s beside the point.

My mother at first said, “Speak softly and carry a very sharp pencil”, but X-acto knives are pretty useful. And I sharpen pencils with mine. And I’m pretty sure stabbing someone with an X-acto knife would hurt more.

So yeah.

So I discovered these TokiDoki Unicornos collectible figurines. They’re adorable, right? The thing is, the boxes have no indication as to what pony is inside. I let Fate do its thing, and I ended up with Peperino. The result? I suppose you could call this my own interpretation of the character.

If you ever wondered what it looks like when I actually try, this is what I drew as a Christmas gift for my mother (for my sister, I drew Buckbeak).

I unfortunately didn’t have a photo of our own late yellow Labrador retriever to reference, so I had to make do with one off Google Images.
